Description
The Lortone 45C B-stock is technically new and unused, but has light cosmetic paint damage on the metal housing. This allows us to offer this solid American rock tumbler at a lower price. The paint damage does not affect the machine’s operation.
Lortone 45C: more space for stones
The Lortone 45C is a classic rotary rock tumbler with one spacious rubber barrel. Lortone designed the 45C with a larger barrel diameter than the compact models. That makes it interesting if you want to process slightly larger stones or simply want more room in the barrel than with a small 3 lb machine.
The rubber barrel dampens noise while running and is suitable for step-by-step grinding and polishing of rough stones with silicon carbide grit and a suitable polishing compound.
Why choose this B-stock 45C?
- New and unused: no used or returned machine.
- Only light cosmetic damage: paint damage on the housing; technically fully functional.
- Original Lortone: a well-known brand among rock tumbling and lapidary enthusiasts.
- 4 lb barrel: one step larger than the widely used compact 3 lb barrels.
- Limited stock: this is a small batch and not a B-stock item that is structurally available.

Who is the Lortone 45C suitable for?
The 45C is a good fit for the serious hobbyist looking for a robust, straightforward rotary tumbler and wanting more capacity than the smallest models offer. Thanks to the larger barrel diameter, it is also a logical choice if you want to work with slightly coarser stones. Always make sure different stone sizes are well balanced in the barrel; even in a larger barrel, the stones still need to be able to roll freely over one another.
What does B-stock mean at Rocktumbler.nl?
For this product, B-stock means very simply: new and unused, but not cosmetically perfect. There is lightly visible paint damage on the housing. That is why the machine is offered at a discount. The cosmetic imperfection does not change its technical operation.
Because the paint damage can vary from unit to unit, we recommend checking the product photos carefully. With two available 45C machines, the exact location or extent of the paint damage may differ.
Maintenance
A Lortone tumbler is built to run for a long time, but proper maintenance remains important. Read the manual before first use and follow the prescribed lubrication and maintenance instructions. Clean the barrel carefully between the different grit stages to prevent contamination of finer grinding media.
