VEVOR Electric Polisher, Rock Polisher, 1.81 kg
€53.90
The VEVOR rock polisher 1.81 kg is a larger rock tumbler for hobbyists who want to process bigger batches of stones. The machine has a metal housing, four speed settings, a timer of up to nine days and a direct-drive motor.
For its price range, this VEVOR offers plenty of features. It is a Chinese brand, and we have not been able to assess the lifespan of this specific model over the long term ourselves. For more intensive use, we therefore also recommend comparing our TRM rock tumblers.
Description
The VEVOR rock polisher 1.81 kg is a more spacious electric rock tumbler for hobbyists who want to process a slightly larger amount of stones at a time. With a maximum load capacity of 1.81 kg, this model offers more capacity than the smaller VEVOR versions, while still remaining compact enough for use at home or in a hobby room.
The machine has four adjustable speed settings and a digital timer that can be set for a running time of up to nine days. This allows you to adjust the speed and duration of a grinding or polishing stage to suit the stones you are processing. The intuitive control panel makes setting it up clear and easy.
More capacity for larger batches of stones
With a maximum load capacity of 1.81 kg, this version is suitable for larger batches of stones than the compact 0.9 and 1.36 kg models. That is useful when you regularly collect stones or want several stones to go through the same grinding stage at once.
The machine is designed for step-by-step grinding and polishing of rough stones. By using progressively finer grinding and polishing media during the process, rough stones can be rounded, smoothed and eventually polished.
Four speeds and a timer of up to nine days
The four speed settings give you more control over the tumbling process than simple rock tumblers with only one fixed speed. Together with the adjustable timer of up to nine days, you can let the machine run through a full grinding stage without having to reset it every day.
According to VEVOR, this model has also been designed with relatively quiet operation and precise control in mind. These are useful features in a machine that can run for several days in a row during a normal tumbling cycle.
Multiple protection and overload protection
VEVOR lists several safety features for this version, including overload protection. This protection is intended to help protect the machine when the motor is placed under too much load.
As with any rock tumbler, it remains important not to fill the barrel beyond the stated load capacity, to place the machine on a stable surface, and to check regularly during long tumbling runs that everything continues to operate correctly.
Compact size despite the larger capacity
The base of the machine measures approximately 17.8 × 23 × 10 cm. Including the barrel, the total height is approximately 21 cm. The net weight is around 3.50 kg.
This makes this version larger and heavier than the smaller VEVOR models, but still compact enough to place relatively easily on a workbench, sturdy table or other suitable surface.
Technical specifications
Plenty of capacity at an attractive price
VEVOR is a Chinese brand that offers a wide range of machines and tools at competitive prices. On paper, this 1.81 kg rock polisher offers quite a lot for its price range, including a larger barrel capacity, four speed settings, a multi-day timer and overload protection.
Rocktumbler.nl However, we have not tested this specific machine in continuous use for years. We therefore cannot say from our own experience how the motor, electronics, barrel and other parts hold up after prolonged and intensive use. That does not mean the machine has to be inferior, but we think it is important to mention this clearly.
VEVOR or a more traditional rock tumbler?
If you want more capacity at an attractive price and you like digital controls and different speed settings, this VEVOR is an interesting option.
If you plan to polish stones regularly and for long periods, and you prefer a more traditionally built rock tumbler, compare this model also with the TRM-1A German rock tumbler and the TRM-2A rock tumbler.
